CMD Product of the week: The Lightwall
The classic look of a hanging light or a floor light illuminating your display has always been a sales floor favourite. Many different display types utilize this form of lighting today and many people are content with the look. While this form of lighting a booth has taken on seniority since its existence, modern technology has evolved since then. LED lighting has found itself everywhere and is providing a brighter, more modern and cleaner look to your displays. Illuminating your trade show space or sales floor like never before!
In this post we will talk about the innovative Lightwall. Lightwall’s are exactly just that, a light-wall. They are tall boxed frames with LED lighting situated on the interior to illuminate the fabric graphics placed on the exterior. Standard units measuring in at just under 8ft tall and ranging in different sized widths, Lightwall displays are a new trade show favourite (custom size Lightwall’s are also available). Once a Lightwall is lit up, heads turn.
The setup of a Lightwall is not complex at all. The frame attaches into itself using tightening knobs at all sides. A base is screwed in and tightened on both sides at the bottom to support the entire structure. Once the frame is built, the interior LED lighting is connected and plugged in. A quick test of the lights and you’re ready to install the backing and graphic.
Installing the graphic
Before setting up the front of the Lightwall’s graphic, there must be a secure backing to trap in all that bright light illuminating on the interior. The back of a Lightwall will consist of velcro around the border. A strong white fabric is placed from top to bottom and left to right along the velcro border. After your backing is nice and tight and affixed to all sides of the velcro and frame, a front graphic is ready to be installed. Printed fabric graphics for a Lightwall are made with a silicone edge (see Article: “Fabrics, Panels, and Banners Oh My!“). This silicone edge is used to secure your fabric graphic on all sides on the front of the Lightwall’s frame.
One last glance
Your Lightwall’s frame is sturdy, your LED lighting is on and working, and your graphic is tight with no wrinkles. One last glance and your new Lightwall display is ready for your event. Many different setups are available when choosing a Lightwall display for your booth. Usually coupled with TV monitors, an Expand Counter and a Literature stand – the Lightwall is a great addition for communicating your brand and attracting attention to your booth.
